Monitored Figure Drawing & Painting

This ongoing session offers the opportunity to maintain and improve skills in a relaxed atmosphere. A live model is provided each week. Attendees may draw or paint the human form in poses chosen by the group and the class monitor.

Wednesdays, 5pm – 8pm
May 1 – July 31 (No class July 3)

1 session: Members $15 / Public; $18, preregister or pay at the door

Impressionistic Painting with Sheila Barbone

Learn to paint subject matter realistically, but with a modern twist. Focus on brushwork, use of color, paint application and more. Work from photos in oil or acrylic.

Basic Portrait Drawing with Jack Montmeat

Learn to draw a live model with a new pose and teacher demonstrations each week. Concepts covered include subject placement, the block-in, proportions, likeness, line quality, lighting and basic anatomy.

Digital Photography II with Brenda De Los Santos

Delve deep into composition, lighting, flash, and specialized photography to enhance the images you create. Students must have taken either Digital Photography I or know how to use their cameras in full manual mode.

Photo to Canvas with Sarah Stifler Lucas

Bring your favorite photographs and learn how to create a work of art in acrylic or oils. Instructor demonstrations focus on design, composition and value. Previous painting experience recommended.

Greeting Cards with Lisa Lyman Adams

Create your own greeting cards for all occasions. Learn essential studio skills such as scoring paper to get that standard industry “fold”. Use a variety of media, including ink pens, watercolor, and collage. Also learn to master fun “artist’s handwriting” for your message. Partial materials provided.

Zentangle with Color & Zentangle Landscapes with Carol Dunn

Take your Zentangle to a new level by adding color and creating landscapes. Practice old tangles and learn new ones. Supplies are provided by the instructor and included in the workshop fee. Bring any materials you already have for Zentangle. Students must have taken at least one prior Zentangle class.

Printmaking Sampler with Carol Dunn
