Gallery Programs
The MAC Galleries are open to the public seven days per week from 11 am to 5 pm. We suggest a $2 per person donation.
Guided programs include a critique of current artwork on exhibit in the galleries, a historic walking tour and exhibition,
studio art demonstrations and instruction or any combination of these based on available time and areas of interest. Guided programs
must be scheduled at least two weeks prior to the visit and cost approximately $60 per hour for 12 participants.
The MAC will validate your parking ticket for 30 minutes.
Studio Art Programs
The MAC has a twelve month schedule of studio programs for adults and children as young as 2 years of age. Individuals and small groups may register for
scheduled programs by going to our web site or calling for a listing of courses. Special studio programs held in our state of the art, air-conditioned studios,
and conducted by the Center's certified teaching staff, will give participants the opportunity to experience a variety of media while exploring drawing, painting,
color theory and design in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Art-In-A-Box
Art-In-A-Box an innovative outreach education program combines art history and media techniques.
The theme for the Art-In-A-Box project is master artists and their styles. Each project is designed after a
specific style or particular work of the selected artist.
Students will experience mixed media, painting, drawing and a little bit of art history as they learn about a specific
artist and create their own artwork.
A trainied artist/teacher from the Center will come to your location and bring a boxed art activity for students in school,
day care programs, and any adult organizations. The activity will be about one hour in duration and can accommodate up to 15
hands-on participants ages 4 to 94. For the purposes of instruction, the participants should be of similiar age. This all-inclusive
class costs $100 and needs to be scheduled by contacting the education department: 860.536.7601 or education@mysticarts.org.
