Learn to sculpt human bones and the skull accurately with oil clay. Start with a wire armature and finish with a believable skeleton and a better understanding of structure and anatomy. Ages 10-14

Summer Shoot [Full Day] (#2489)
with Kid Filmmakers, Inc.
Young participants run the cameras, direct, act and write the scripts in this exciting hand-on camp that teaches everything from acting to animation, lighting, sound, makeup, and more. This is an opportunity to make new friends and learn about movie making under the experienced faculty of Kid Filmmakers, Inc. Ages 6-17

  Get Messy and Create like the Masters (#2490)
with Mystic Arts Center Teaching Artists
We'll use lots of colorful paint, pencils, watercolors and other media to mimic the great styles of the master painter. Ages 4-6

Nature Art Camp [Nature Center and Arts Center] (#2491)
with Jen Wheeler & Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center camp councelors
Spend Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at the Nature Center, perusing the woods, ponds, and meadows for critters - then bring the wonder of the wild to the canvas in the Mystic Arts Center studios on Tuesday and Thursday. Ages 7-10

Your ship is in orbit, and your 60-foot tall robot is ready for launch! Travel through the unknown realm of space with our imaginative drawing instructions to create your very own Sci-Fi universe. Oh yeah, and your robots do transform! Ages 9-12

Paint and create beautiful paper uchiwa fans, zori shoes, clay tea cups, sushi boxes and more as you prepare for a fancy Asian tea party at the end of th ewweek. Ages 9-13

Create creepy monsters, dinosaurs, or friendly creatures with puppets, masks, and don't forget the slime! This fun class will fuel the imagination. Ages 4-6

Dive into the deep using clay and mixed media to create underwater creatures, sea horses, sharks, fanciful fish, coral, seaweed and more. Ages 6-8

Landscapes in Any Medium (#2501)
Work like the old masters and become a plein air artist using chalk pastels, acrylics, pencils and more to capture the views around you. Learn the basics of landscape composition, cropping, and color blocking. Digital photographs used as a resource. Ages 10-14

  Animation Vacation (Full Day) (#2502)
Experience the art of animation from storyboarding to anime and Claymation in this week-long, hands-on Kid Filmmaker program. Learn how these films are made and make them yourself! Every participant receives a DVD of their film project after a wrap party.

  Anime and Manga - Medieval (#2503)
With your coat-of-arms, shiny armor, and galloping horse - it's time to explore majestic casteles and dark underground dungeions! Learn to draw awesome leather armor, chain mail, plate armor, even historically-inspired fantasy costumes along with fascinating scenery. You have what it takes to be the hero or heroine of this intriguing story! (Ages 9-12)

Use shells and clay to create beachy, beautiful, and useful items for your bedroom or homework table. Ages 9-13
